I promised my grandson I would make him a quilt with matcing pillow shams,( full size) .
My problelm is that he only wants me to use two colors-Neon green and solid black. I have no idea as to what pattern to use. My grandson is 12 y.o.a. Any ideas ?

If you are confident of your skills, try the Eleanor Burns, Quilt in a Day pattern called Day and Night. The book is about 20.00 and it comes WITH the special acrilic ruler that is used to cut the blocks. It looks hard when you first open the book and scan through it but if you go slow and read ( and re-read ) each step, you can do it. Plus, if you need help, there are a TON of people on this forum that should be able to help you.

There was a quilt on earlier that only used two fabrics and each block was reversed. They called it the potato chip pattern or rainy day block. Take an 8" block and put 2" borders around it. Just alternate the colors. Pretty cool looking.

Check out this pattern link, it's very easy and quick to make.
If you switch centers on each block using your two suggested colors, I think it'll look great.
