My husband and I grow two acres of wine grapes. The only time I get to quilt is when we have rain for a few days in a row. Otherwise from October to March it is my favorite pastime.

No, you are not the only one. I am outside most of the time in
the summer so I get very little done on quilts or anything else
as far as that goes. I am still trying to get my pinwheel top done.
I know I am late. Oh, well. I just have the borders to put on so
am hoping that will get done soon.

Living in northern MN I get out and enjoy our summers so I don't quilt as much. I have a garden and flowers and just enjoy! The cold weather comes way to fast.

I move my sewing machine to the deck to sew. I love to sew outside.

My sewing area in Midland is upstairs and it gets really hot in there. So I might not be up there when it's really hot unless I have to finish something. In Cheboygan it's cooler at the lake so I will quilt in the evenings. I always have a project or two going up there.

I do too. Mainly because it's too darn HOT to do anything but stay in the ac and not run the risk of dying from heat exhaustion! Unless you're at the beach or in the pool, there's nothing to do but stay inside. I get too sunburned to be able to stay outside very long, so I stay in and quilt.
In the winter it's hard to make myself stay inside and do anything. It's so much nicer out. It all depends on where you live, doesn't it?

8-)
