I sure would love to hear about the sewing machines that were gotten for Chnristmas. So many questions about which machine was the best and which machine should I get for my wife. How do the new owners like their new prize.
I still love my Pfaff.

How about if they are new to me? My birthday/Christmas present that I bought for myself is a 1957 Singer Featherweight 221 and then because I think that this sewing machine collecting is a "sickness" I also bought myself a 1951 mocha-colored longbed Singer 301A  and 'she' just came today. I haven't had the chance to use either one of them, yet, but they sure are beautiful to look at.

I got a Janome Memory Craft 6600 for Christmas. I love, love, love, love it. So much better than the old Montgomery Ward machine I had.

Hubby got me the Singer Confidence Quilter - I know, so not up to the caliber so many of you are at, but it's WAY better than my $100 WalMart Singer!

I got the Singer precision 7444. I was using an older Kenmore that was on it's last legs. I may have it repaired someday... But yeah, I love this singer! I told hubby it felt like driving a cadillac LOL It even has a needle threader on it!! I still have to play with all the different stitches, but so far am loving it.

That longbed 301A is one on my "Someday" list! I'm thrilled for you that you found one you couldn't say no to! I've found it much easier to keep it on my list...I just don't tempt myself by searching them out anymore...lol. I'm sure you're anxious to take her for a spin. Your Christmas was truly Singerific!

Having used my nieces machine for the last couple years I was told she would love it back so I had been dreading the day I would be without! This week my dear friend went out and purchased a new Kenmore machine for me as a moving gift and I love it to pieces. Its not a fancy machine think it has 100 stitches I will never use so I didnt need fancy. It could have been 20 yrs old and a tag sale machine and honestly I would have loved it if it worked. It was like Christmas in January for me.
