When a block does not behave, I may use the lavender pressing stuff to dampen. Generally, I'm not much of a starcher. However, I do have a rule that either all of my fabric for a project is washed or none of it is. I won't mix well, maybe a small piece here and there.

I'm a starcher. I work more calmly with starched fabric. Anything that helps,,, I'll take it!

I don't prewash but I do starch the crap out of my fabric.

I dont wash anymore, but i do starch heavily before cutting
