I have a variety of stonehenge fabrics - if I keep one light fabric for the background do you think the darks that I have could be done scrappy on this quilt? What is your opinion? I have mostly the warm Stongehenge fabrics with some greems, purple and even golden yellow....

I am afraid you might lose some of the geometrical design look if you go scrappy. Love your fabrics and the pattern, just not sure if it would work.

Go for it! I bet it would be pretty with the material you have on hand!

I have 14 different stonehenge fabrics and will use the pattern "all squared up".

I think it would look great scrappy, but most of your fabrics are mediums. I would probably minimize the red (which is dark compared to the mediums, but bright compared to the dark brown) so it isn't too distracting, but it would add a nice spark here and there. You would need to use the dark brown for the dark in the pattern, along with the lightest fabric for the light; everything else would be mediums.

I agree, maybe add another couple of darks to keep with the scrappy feel. And follow the suggestion to use the lights/med/darks where they did in the pattern.
