Wink do you use this quilting tool?

Here is one of DH's most treasured tools - his collection of little tiny pencils that he uses for marking fabric. He does most of the cutting and won't use a rotary cutter. Makes his own patterns too. I tell him he is WAY out of date.

Anyway he won't throw any pencils out until they are so small the pencil sharpener eats them. He keeps a bundle of them like this and when they are all dull he hands them to me to sharpen.

I was using one today and thought you would all get a kick out of it.

Why does he hand them to you, to sharpen? Just curious.

My co worker marks and does not have a rotary cutter. If she ever tried on she would throw out the scissors!

The pencil sharpener is in the cellar, he only goes up and down stairs once a day since he had a stroke. Besides, women do it so much BETTER than men, you know, we have the secret knowledge....

If my DH was helping with the cutting, he could use any old tool he liked.

Good point; women generally stop sharpening, when the pencil is sharp.
