Does anyone else like (or admit to liking) some of the fabrics from WalMart? (Please notice - I said SOME)

True, WM does NOT have the selection of a nice LQS, but I have gotten some GREAT fabrics there.

I like some of their fabrics. I am just careful about what I buy. My Mom buys them also, and she has has no problems.

No. I have not bought from Walmart for a long time. I have finally purged all my WM fabric from my stash.

I have had many of those fabrics fade and fall apart on some of the first quilts I ever made.

well... I should be crowned the wal mart queen,,lol.. I love it, and yes I love their fabric. I am not an expert quilter, but I like what I buy,, I stay away from the really thin ones,, but they have such a wonderful array to select....

I really like the Cranston Village VIP fabrics that they carry. They seem to always be really nice quality with a nice heft to them and good looking prints.

We know that you also buy the LQS fabrics.

I think it totally depends on what you are going to use it for. Ours has some nice stuff, and some junk. I found some beautiful fabric the other day to add to the Asian quilt I am planning to make for one of my daughters. For 2 bucks a yard. You could not tell it was not from a LQS. I find good stuff for making clothing there all the time, but that is not where my interest is anymore.
