I found this picture on line somewhere, maybe here. I would like to know who made this quilt. Or if anyone has made one like it. I have the plaited blocks done and want to put a middle panel and have my son and daughter in laws names and marriage date embroided on it. I love the applique shes done on this one but Im not really good at applique. Im thinking maybe I could have some hummingbirds embroided or appliqued on it also? Any suggestions?

Sorry, it did load, just took a couple minutes. It's a beautiful quilt - I see hummingbirds already? What an awesome gift!

The pattern is called Plaited blocks and you can find it at
http://www.quilterscache.com/BlocksbySizeC.html. I hadnt seen the blocks put together like this with the applique before but its beautiful! I just am NOT a good applique quilter but have a friend who has the embrodry machine to make the birds for me. Id like any suggestions on how to get the vines and flowers. I just thought it was beautiful! My blocks are various colors and its really an easy block to make even though it looks hard!

That's beautiful, and know yours will be fabulous!

So great to find you on here, Joan! I've been lurking awhile, and finally posted for the first time yesterday.

WoooHoo!

Sharon???WOW great to hear from you! I look at the posts every day at work but my computer at home freezes so much that its not worth trying to read them at home! I have gotten so many hints and helps from this site. I LOVE IT...so glad I quit my 2nd full time job so I can quilt more! :)
