I purchased a strip kit at the Houston Quilt Show this weekend and these two fabrics were in it. Does ANYONE know who makes either of these? I would love to have more but have never seen it before. The one without the seashells is a metallic.

Is there more of the fabric than what is shown in the picture if so, look at the selvedge edge where your color dots are and it should say there the maker and design name/number. The one without the seashells looks like a Michael Miller fairy frost because of the shimmery look.

Good luck,

Could these be promotional kits, fabrics that hasn't been released yet?

I've seen the shimmery one before. Bought a pale blue/mauve version of it. If I'm at the LQS that I got it from, I'll look for you. Can't remember whose it was, and have none left upstairs.

The 'metallic' looks like a "Fairy Frost" by Michael Miller. Here is a link:

The other one I have no idea...... but they are beautiful together!

You could look at the label on the selvedge, but if there is no label, there is a site you can look up. You have to scan a sample of material and upload it to the site and it will attempt to find it for you.

They are both gorgeous fabrics. I can see why you would want more of both.

The top one is a line called 'Beachfront Cottage', pattern 8157-2, from RJR
I think the second one is also from that line, pattern 8159-1 or 8159-2
I have not been able to find a source in the US yet, only Australia and Norway (!)
http://www.dayviewtextiles.com.au/be...tage%20web.htm (Dayview Textiles is a wholesaler in Oz, not a manufacturer)

edit: per the RJR website, it is discontinued

Thanks for the help. I just knew it would end up being a discontinued fabric.
