Most fabric stores used to have them...even Joann's.

I remember those when shopping with my mother. Isn't it amazing how much we forget.

here they had those at Pennys and Sears fabric departments and Godwins and Rienies which were fabric stores.

we had so many choices before house of fabrics and clothworld took over and then joannes put them under.

used to make all kinds of clothes and household items then because we could buy the right type of fabric.

Yup that's it a measuregraph. I remember them doing that too, and I always hated it, I don't like my fabric ripped.

Yes, I, too, remember that machine. I mostly remember it from J. C. Penney's back when they had fabric. But, no, I have no idea what it was called. Good memories.

Oh thank you for the walk down memory lane! I loved to watch the clerk run that fabric thru the meter when I was a kid. And if memory serves, they always tore the fabric when the notch was made.
