I know for most it doesn't sound like fun, but one day dad will be gone and you will NEVER forget the time Dad helped ya move!

My dad helped me move once however he didn't help me pack. If he had, I am sure unpacking would be much like your ordeal!

What an odd assortment of objects to find together in the same box. Couldn't help but think about the TV show I watched last night about the guys that buy storage lockers and have no clue what could be lurking in the boxes!
Not really, but I did start craving spaghetti.

But, wasn't it an exciting find? Almost like Christmas, except you already owned all the presents. :-o

But Christmas doesn't smell of garlic and cat food. I hope it all came out in the wash (the smell).
If it was dry cat food, at least maybe the garlic kept the mice and insects away! ;)

I decided to trudge on through and managed to get the other 4 boxes sorted. A box of Wheat Thins (stale now), 4 unmatched socks, a pair of undies, a bra, 2 pair of sweat pants, half-package of M & M's (still good!), 3 full sized quilt tops, 6 really hideous UFO's, my T-Mobile bill that I swore to them I never got, unopened mustard, ketchup and sweet gherkins, 2 seam rippers, 3 screw drivers, the power cord to my serger (!), another hand full of FQ's, 5 cones of thread, a shoe box full of trims, elastic and velcro, brand new package of batting for a Queen, some really awful polar fleece used to protect the pickles, 3 doggie coats that will fit rats (really, really small), and another iron. (Iron count, now I have 4.)

All in all, no fabrics were harmed. Nothing reeks of garlic or cat food. No, the boxes wern't marked :-( ; it was all a surprise to me. At least I have dinner and clean clothes to wear tomorrow.
