I like having the exact size ruler for each size I'm cutting. Saves me a lot of time. Now that I have the Go I don't use them much anymore though.

I don't like using the smaller squares, not enough finger room. The smallest I'm comfortable with it 6.5". I prefer the Omnigrid & Omnigrip rulers.

I have an orange ruler that I never use. I wonder what size it is.

Is this another of those--good idea but they don't make it any more items?

Exactly the same problem here; loved the old Fiskars thin-lined orange ruler, but not the fact that they painted on the lines.
I found the relatively new (to me anyway) same sized ruler from Olfa was a good replacement for me. These rulers are opaque/frosted and I was worried about being able to see well with them. NOT a problem!

They are sold in many locations so price compare. Mine was bought at Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show.

That's exactly what I want to find. I like the 6" width to keep my hand back from the edge. I wonder if I'd find that in a local quilt shop. I don't shop online and haven't found what I want locally at JoAnn's or WalMart.

I hate it when you lose a trusted tool. Someone just happened to take my favorite seam ripper. The Mediera, it was wonderful. Hope you can find a replacement

Two rulers that I love are the Olfa frosted like the one Jan mentioned and Creative Grid ones. They both are easy to see and don't slip. Olfa also makes a non frosted one that is fine but not as good as the frosted one so when you're shopping know that there is a difference. The neon ones and those with too many lines are too distracting to me.

If I can't find a product on line and not at the big box, I call my lqs. I have found things there I couldn't find on line
