You spend a couple - ok a few hours on something just to hate it and take it all apart? I have a quilt top I have been working on that I don't love, but it is made with fabrics that were given to me. I am going to give it back as a gift.

I attempted to put boarders on it, and they were wavy so I took them all off. I think it took as long to rip them off as it did to sew them on.

After than I got discuraged and watched tv. :(

Set it aside for a while and go back to it, That is what I am learning, For some reason it works better after a break! LOL

I usually put it down and come back after a cup of tea and putting my feet up. Clears my mind.

It always takes me twice as long to rip out compared to sewing. Probably longer. I suppose if I spent more time with the sewing part, I would spend less with the ripping out part.

Sometimes I need to walk away and forget it for a while. Then I'm ready to tackle it again.

I find it's better for me to walk away or box it up as a UFO. 8-)

Yes , take a break from it . Maybe do a small project that you enjoy and then go back to the other. Put on some soothing music as well :)

Hide it somewhere and you will be happy when you come upon it again.

Stopping to watch television is the best thing you can do. I sometimes take a nice break even when things are going right. It is good for you. Try the borders again, but pin every two inches and see if they don't turn out better than before.
