I just saw a beautiful redwork done for Christmas in the following:
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-147025-1.htm

In that post there is link to where the pattern is located.
It is the "Twas the Night Before Christmas" from Crabapple Hill Studios.
    http://www.crabapplehillstudio.com/i...christmas.aspx

In that link there is another redwork for a snow scene called "Winter Wonderland". In the description they mention "wouldn't it be pretty in blue?" and that is one of MY questions. I would love to do this in blue, however, the "redwork/bluework" is done by hand. Is the quilt blocks done by machine or hand?

That site sells hand embroidery patterns :D The quilt blocks/quilt can be sewn by machine or hand sewn, the pattern would be the same for both :D:D:D

I have done almost all of the Winter Wonderland in Blue. I'll do the quilt blocks by machine.

My sister in law just finished this quilt (Winter Wonderland). All blocks were sewn except for the ones that you needed to hand embroidery. Hers is gorgeous.

A customer brought me the Winter Wonderland to quilt and it turned out absolutely beautiful. Another quilter saw it, loved it and brought me one in blue to do and ditto to it. Somewhere I saw one done in browns and teal and it was breathtaking. I would love to do one in those colors. Crabapple Hill patterns are all so pretty....time consuming but pretty.
Both the embroidery work and quilting are stunning on this quilt. Another one to put on my wish list, to do list, or bucket list, whatever you want to call it.
