If making double sided quilts is a no no then a lot of us are in trouble. It's a great way to use up bits and pieces left from the front and helps with the stash issue. Here is one I made for my sister and her partner. Their birthday is July 3 so red, white and blue (one of my favorite color combos) stars was very appropriate for them. The pinwheels in the border are leftover triangles from making the star points. It is quilt as you go. I quilt from the front on the machine. I like to keep the back design much simpler. It also helps that I don't mind doing hand work when it comes to sewing the rows together. This is one way I can get quilts finished.

Hi, I am working on a twin size quilt that is reversible. Great fun making 8X8 patriotic quilted blocks for the front and signature blocks on the back. I've attached the blocks with a reversible sashing method. No pattern so it's been trial and error....for this first time quilter. I can't wait to get to the border blocks and see what I can do to finish it. Yes, I am a little crazy.

I'm in the planning stages of a reversible quilt for my grandson. He chose some tiger cheater blocks and a panel. I'll use the blocks on one side and the panel on the back. Hope to start it soon.

there are no no-no's in quilting - no quilt police. Your quilt - your way. I love that about quilting. The best type is crazy quilting - you make a boo-boo, you put an patch over it. My type of quilting
