drawing paper for quilting?
#11
JoAnn Fabrics sells a pad of paper that I think is 15" square with grid lines that are 1/4" apart. It normally sells for $7.99, but I wait until they put quilting notions on sale 50% off. I also have a package of Twistable Crayola Colored pencils. Whenever I see something I like, I grab my ruler and pencil to draw something on one of the pages, then use my colored pencils just to give each block some definition. I leave the pages in the tablet and consider it my idea book when I need some inspiration for a project.
I also have the Quilt Wizard software which is the EQ simplified version. It has limited ability since you have to use their block shapes. The one nice thing is that once you are completely done, you can print out a picture of what your finished quilt should look like in the colors you chose as well as yardage charts to take to the store and cutting instructions. For a beginner, it's a great start. Also, buy it at JoAnn's when they put their quilt notions half price unless you have your own 50% off coupon.
