For my sea map wall hanging (just one of many projects I plan on making someday) I've been thinking about putting in Celtic knotwork in the corners of the outer border (something that's not overly simple, but not "over designed" either). The problem is I can't find any borders to look at. Been finding a lot of different knotwork and how to make them...no borders. Before you suggest that I go try to design my own...I already tried and miserably failed. I know I can find them somewhere on the Internet...there's probably like a whole gallery of them sitting somewhere. Any voulenteers for helping me find a gallery of some sort with Celtic knot borders?

I know on EQ there's like 2000 some top quilting designs...for those who have EQ, are there any knotwork border designs on there?

Here's a couple I have in my files...maybe they will give you some ideas

http://www.doverpublications.com/samplerkids/0221/children3.htm

There are 4 pages there, the tabs to navigate them are labeled Full Page 1, Full Page 2, Sample 1 and Sample 2 (I only mention this because I missed them the first gazillion times I accessed this site :) )

Hope they help.

Thse are gorgeous! Have you ever tried any of them? And if so, how do you do them? I know there is fusible bias tape, and assume that is one way to go, but wouldn't have a clue as to how to assemble one nor how to stitch it down once assembled.

No Vicki, I haven't tried them. They're actually printable coloring pages I found on a site I use for the girls. I thought they would make great quilting designs so I saved them. Glad you liked them :)

They're really nice designs, but not quite what I'm looking for. Need a border that bends at a 90 degree angle so I can just put them in the corners.

Hey Goddess-Celtic designs are what I specialize in!! I actually have a book with some borders in it (I think). I might be able to send some to you if you send me your email. How wide of a border to you need? Just pm me and I'll see if I can help.
