I don't know why I am having so much trouble but I am frustrated with the ruler. It is fast becoming the dreded dresden plate. I want to do a dresden plate that is not mounted on a block. I am trying to change the number of wedges. I would like larger wedges so I don't have to cut so many. Maybe I am just lazy and there is no such thing. Anyone have experience with this?

I would say our member, Riversong, is pretty much a Dresden Plate expert. She makes table toppers by the dozens. If what you are trying to do can be done, she can probably tell you how. Look her up and check out her work.

The ruler is your best bet.. I use a template that adjusts the length / size of wedge.
good luck !
