I just noticed that hobby Lobby has "duck Cloth" they had in the same patterns as the Quilting fabric. What do I do with Duck Cloth?

it's a heavy-weight cloth that's used in outdoor furniture, bbq aprons, etc.

Can you use it for handbags?

if they're not to fussy. since it's thick, it would be hard to cross multiple seams. otherwise it would be a good choice. you'd need to finish the edges, because they fray.

I do the out of the ordinary recycling. I wanted to make my two grandchildren a throw using some of their dad's Army BDU (uniforms no longer in use). I used the quilt as you go method and it worked ok.
