What can I say? Just "Oh, my!" Jenny had them for her Daily Deal this morning, but she is sold out. I bought them the last time she had them; she called them "I Spy".

How about another dumb question in this vein...aren't I spy quilts ones that use only one of each fabric so that none are repeated? I thought the novelty fabrics were just that "novelty fabrics" if they were repeated. I don't know, I certainly could be wrong about this. And the conversational fabric being a subset of novelty fabrics makes total sense to me. I can't wait to see what the consensus is.

I too would think that conversational fabrics would have some sort of writing, words, sayings on it ?? I do like novelty fabrics make making a quilt or something special for someone that has an interest in something like cars, horses, owls. It's all "under" novelty fabrics I guess.

Novelty prints, gotta love 'em and hate 'em. I love them when I have a special project in mind, but hate them when it comes to using the scraps--never know what to do with them.

I want to thank everyone who responded. I absolutely love the people on this board! I have been on other quilting boards that if I were to ask the same question, I would have gotten negative responses. Hence the reason I no longer go to those boards. You guys are always encouraging, polite and positive which means so very much to a newbie like myself! I think I'll do less lurking and participate more!

Bonnie Hunter will use all kinds of scraps in her quilts. If it's still ugly, you haven't cut it small enough.
