I am wanting to make my niece, Shonna, who has cancer a quilt. They live a long way from me - 650 miles, so I don't get to see her much. However, I do talk and text. Her favorite color she said is earth green. What color is that???

Wow! I think I would ask her because I googled and it is not a pretty color. She may mean something different.

The earth is covered with grass, I would think it would be more like the green of grass. (?)

I got to talk to my niece and found out what she meant and it was nothing what I thought it was.........she meant fall colors! She said she liked all greens and earth tones like fall colors but she had said earth green not earth tones. Not anything like what I was thinking, so that helps a lot! Now any suggestions on what block or pattern to use? I don't do as much piecing as I would like and I'm still learning so I don't need anything coomplicated.

what about one that looks like leaves? and you could do them in various shades of greens and fall colors? with a lovely sandy colored or tan background?
