does anyone have this machine?

i have one that i love and i have finally managed to jam it.

i have a wallhanging on it that i want to finish and now there is a (must be) tiny piece of thread that i can't even see. i poked around with a long tweezer and just can't find a thing, but when i try to turn it on, here comes that sound that we all know.

the top thread broke and the bobbin thread had to be pulled out but i thought i got it all. wrong. now i can't turn the raceway to loosen the whatever it is and i can't get in there to see anything.

any hints?

I don't have one of these machines, but if nothing else, could you possibly try to use your vaccuum on it? I have the small attachment that I put on my vaccuum hose for both my computer & sewing machine.

I have taken a Q-tip and ran around the bobbin race. It will often get those little strings that you can not see.

i called them in utah and they told me to twist the flywheel counter to the way it usually turns really hard. don't worry about hurting it. the thread would work loose eventually. then i was to rotate the wheel 2x in each direction to make sure it moved smoothly. it did and all is well.

thanks all for the help.

i don't know what's within your budget, but their original model is on clearance now because they've come such a long way. the only thing mine has that the sale one doesn't is the stitch regulator. i haven't even been using it, and with VERY little practice you really don't need it. i paid an extra $1000 for it and now i'm sorry. neither mine nor the basic one on sale is computerized. ho hum!

the clearance sale from the factory is $4999. + s/h. if you see him at a show, you can talk him down right there. like no s/h or one hundred extra needles, or something, or plain old less money. make an offer for less. he's eager to sell because now they have the computer ones. try it out while you're there. try online pricing, too.

it's a very nice machine and frame. not like the gammlil. etc. but affordable.
they are all a little finicky about thread and so on, like any complex machinery. you can easily do a 12" block on it.
