This is flannel but it is a scarf pulled through a slit so maybe it'll help. I want to make myself one of these.

Boy oh boy I could have used one of those today! It was cold out and the wind was blowing and my ears nearly froze right off my head! I think I would like to keep one in the car for days like today..

Also read the entry with the longer version.. Wow, you guys are so smart! I have fleece, I'll be making one of these before I leave the house again!

Thanks!

Made 78 this afternoon from a $5 Walmart throw. I used a stretch stitch on the long edges. And a hand vac after sewing to get rid of the fuzz flying around me and the sewing room and the scarves.

The ones I saw on the "ski rack" were not over the neck kind but wrap around the neck with one side flapped over the other and pulled through the cut opening in the bottom half. Sort of like the awareness ribbons we see for troop welcome, breast cancer etc. . Both kinds(tube and wrap look nice & warm but are not for me.)

The tube type is a neck gator LLBean and Lands End carry them, I got them from them years ago when my sons used to ski.
