I found an Elna type 72 machine looked high and low for an owners manuel Company said they are out of print and have no plans for a reprint. Then I found that the Sew Creative sewing center in Wenatchee Wa. sold Elna at one time stoped in to see if the knew someone local who may have one and would let me copy the owners manuel. Long story short an employee went to there old paper files and found a folder titled Elna had a copy of the owners manuel in it! They gave me a copy of there copy! and they had bobbins in stock that fit my new (old) machine. Great sevice and very nice employees. I'm just a customer nothing else.

I become a very loyal customer when an employee goes out of their way to help me. Glad you had a good experience.

I have an Elna 8000 I bought at an auction last fall for 50 dollars. I found a store in a town south of me and I need to make a trip and get some more bobbins as there was only one and some extra needles and a double needle. I love it. I just got to sit down and play with it last night. We have only been back from the winter for one week.

I could put on material May 2011, spelled my name and did some decorative stitching.Iam going to have fun learning to use it.

I have two elnas, a Stella and a computer 9000. Love them both expecially my little Stella. Weighs about 11 pounds with a full sized motor . My Mom bought it for me in 1984? and it is still my baby. Sews everything from fine material to skidoo suits. Just brought home a Brother Laura Ashley, Love that one too.
