Thread: Elna Sewing Machine Company

Has the Elna sewing machine company gone out of business?
I got that impression while reading some postings.
Did they sell out to another company?

Am in the UK so can't speak for the USA but Elna are still pretty strong as a brand here....however all their machines are Janome clones and on the Elna stand yesterday at a large sewing exhibition the only accessories available were Janome branded ones.

Janome now owns Elna. There was a really good post/thread on here a while back about what companies produce what machines - very interesting. I can't remember the name of the thread or I'd search for it for you - maybe someone else does?
