When cutting multiple strips of the same size, sometimes your eye wanders with all those lines on the ruler so to help, place a piece of removable tape (the kind you use when painting windows) just slightly to the left (or right if you are left handed) of the measurement line on the cutting ruler. This makes it easire to get the correct cutting line.

Wonderful tip, it would be a big help for me! Sometimes too, when I have been cutting multiple widths I have forgotten what what I am currently cutting and had to add to the scrap bin  :x

That's a great idea Elle, I miscut sometimes too, always the 1/4" too small  , never too big so I could just trim it down, so there,s another strip for the scrap bin. I'll give this a try, should help heaps
