Next year I was thinking of getting an embroidery only machine, was looking at Brother PE-770 or 780D
For those of you out there that have these machines, do you like them. Is the quality good, can't afford the high end models

There was another thread about this that I will find for you. You make 3 or 4 of us all looking for the same thing :D
I'll go see if I can find the thread...it had some GREAT information about this machine and I decided that it was the way to go for me. I haven't gotten it yet but am hoping to this summer.

OK....sorry it took so long. She changed her avatar picture so I didn't recognize her...ROFL! :D

This was her first post asking about embroidery only machines:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-97754-1.htm
This one was specifically about the Brother 770:

Hope that helps :D Good luck and post when you get one!! :D

Yup, I'm one of those other ones!! :D
I want one that does embroidery only but not so limiting as to not be able to have fun.
I just want the perfect one for me, of course!! :D:D

Have you decided yet Susan? Are you still looking or are you gonna go for the Brother 770? I'm so excited but have to wait for the right time financially. :D

Gail, I can't decide! I want the one with the largest area to embroider.
I just did a final post on the difference b/t the 2, the Brother and the Janome.
Hope the board members don't want to kill me lol

I would be sure you could at least do a 5x7 design. I use my 5x7 a lot. I know the Janome does that size, but I'm not familar with the Brother and it's sizes.

I say buy what you can afford. Your creativity and intuitiveness is what is going to make your quilts loved and cherished.
