I love the inthehoop designs on embroiderylibrary.com....I've done the little scissor holders, needle cases, thread holders ITH and they make great gifts. I did a redwork baby quilt with free designs, little change purses, and just plain designs on sweat shirts etc...once you start you get adicted....LOL

I have a question. I recently got a Brother PE770. I've used it a very small amount. What computer program would any of you recommend to store the PES files in. Right now I just have one CD. I've tried to download freebies, but they're a mess. Isn't there some program out there to properly catalog these files for a reasonable price?
If all you want to do is categorize your designs and store them somewhere, I would recommend Catalog It! I keep 2 separate files on my computer - the designs themselves in folders, and the designs in Catalog It. When you transfer your designs over to the Catalog you can view them and see the colors and size and stitch count. You can also print out the designs in each category on a page, you can set how many rows and columns you want to get as many designs on a page as possible, then you have a visual recap of all your designs as well. It's not outrageously expensive, sewforless.com has it for $80. It's VERY user friendly.

I store all my designs on a simple thumb drive for about $10. I just make folders like you would for any document...Christmas, Halloween, etc. I also print out a picture of new designs when I get them and keep them in a 3-ring binder for browsing. I have a Janome 550e which uses the thumb drive (usb) so it's very easy.
I have been trying out art silk thread from Carter Crafts in the UK on Ebay. The thread is made in Pakistan. I am always wary of new brands since some don't work well with my Brother 2500D. This brand works very well and I was very pleased with the price. Just in case anyone is interested. The thread is actually rayon - beautiful colors, and has a beautiful sheen.
I know there are a lot of you who love Asian motifs in your quilts and things. You might want to check out these designs that were just posted this morning at this site.http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/new.aspx?date=021512 The price is beyond reasonable!
I have a diamond & topaz. Love topaz, diamond is in for cleaning. I like to use emb.Lib. They have great Quilt blocks. Is fun.

I use the ann the gran express box.it really does the job. keeps designs organized and it resizes and converts. I had to join ann the gran club to get this. it wasn't that much-25dollars and they took it off the price of the box which was 150 dollars. i paid 125 for the box. i did not renew my club membership although they have some real good sales on stabilizers and other items. this express box is even cheaper now.
