I'm thinking of using my Viking embroidery machine to quilt my borders. Has anyone tried this? I don't know how this will work with my current foot - need a walking foot or?

If you're using embroidery designs you'll need to hoop the quilt and use the embroidery foot you normally use for embroidering designs.

I've used my Viking with the continuous hoop to quilt borders. Used the normal embroidery foot. Warm & Natural batting.

I do it all the time. I make quilting designs just for the purpose of using my embroidery machine.

Your embroidery machine has a darning/FMQ and that is the one you would want to use.
Many use a embroidery design for their quilting :D:D:D
