I too think the medallion should also be enlarged. Would be more in scale.

Yes, I think you are all right.....I'm not going to get a very balanced effect by simply replicating borders to increase my size. Hmmmmmm, brain ticking along a bit here...thankyou everyone.

Ahhhhhh, local quilt shop....gotcha!
Now as luck would have it.....fate and all that...I've been given the "Quilt Wizard" program which as I understand it, is a very basic introductory version of the super dooper program you have all mentioned. I've had a look at the program and it is perfect for my novice level so am happy to puddle along with it until I am more experienced and then maybe invest in a more advanced program. So my question is has anyone had any experience with this basic program? I'm struggling to find how I can do a triangular block or pattern to fill a corner space left by other blocks. Is my understanding correct that this basic program only provides either 4 sided blocks or "color fill"?

Okay, me again...just had a cup of tea and realised how very daft my question was......by using color fill in the spaces i am creating triangles afterall...oh dear...it's been a very long day! Please excuse and forgive!!!
