I'm looking to purchase EQ. I have a 40% off at Jo-Anns Fabric.

    Should I get EQ 6 for $90 or go for EQ7 at $113 ?

I would appreciate some input from those who have EQ.

I know I will get honest answers here.

This is board is the Best!!!

EQ6 has limited downloads to your computer, EQ7 is unlimited, I would go with 7  :D:D:D

That's the lowest price I've heard of for the EQ7. I'd go with it.

That's because I have a 40% off, or I could wait till July 10th and get 50% off. hmmm... maybe I'll wait.

I too would get EQ7 for that price. That being said, and I am only saying this so you don't get disappointed later, EQ programs are excluded from regular JoAnn coupons, so unless you have a special coupon, I believe that 40% won't count towards EQ. And if you do have a special coupon, please share your secret

Wow, I haven't seen EQ at any of my local Joann's in years. And they were not couponable (I think they were at the very beginning but then they were excluded).

I do see both versions online at regular retail. I just tried checking out and it would not allow me use a current valid online code. It doesn't say it on the coupon, but if you follow the links, it's on the list of excluded items.

Maybe it would be valid in a store. Maybe.

If that doesn't work for you, the cheapest online price is when Eleanor Burns runs her internet promotion - which she's been doing about once a month. Like, now.

Add it to your cart and you'll see it's $132.96.

    And I'd choose EQ7 over EQ6.

Ditto on getting EQ7. For one thing, you will be able to upgrade when 8 comes out, as I'm sure it will. And I agree with candi that JoAnn's coupons usually exclude EQ from the discount. Quilt in a Day has it on sale for about 30% off - http://quiltinaday.com/shoponline/gi...ay.asp?i=28132

Thank you all for your input. I read the coupon and it did not exclude EQ there, but I did a search and found that EQ items are excluded at Jo-Anns. Thank you MTS and dunster for the Quilt in A Day link. I ordered it. It was just $20 more that I would have gotten it at Jo-Anns. Still... a great price. ( I also ordered a few other little things and got free shipping!)

See... this is why I love this board. A wealth of quilting knowledge that is beyond compare.

    Thank you

Always go with the latest software version, in this case EQ7. Future upgrades, which usually cost less than full products, are usually reserved for only the latest version. And support, if you have a problem or question, for the older versions is not always available from the vendor.
