I remember y'all talking about a spy quilt and all the different pictures on it. What pattern do you use to piece it? Attic Windows, Stacked Bricks, what??? I want to make one, and started collecting the fabrics together from my stashes, but I don't know what to cut yet. Help!! :?: :?:

I have made a couple of spy quilts, I used a 4 patch pattern and the novelity fabric both made to size. Hope this helps.

I went fishing around for examples of "I Spy" quilts. There don't seem to be any rules. I saw some that were just square after square of fussy-cut noveltie fabrics. (confusing to the eye and not attractive - at least to me.) I think any pattern that pleases you and frames the fussy-cuts so they truly stand out would be just fine.

you could just as easily make snowballs, squares in squares, attic windows, friendship stars, or ..... well you get the point.

there are dozens of sites on the internet from which you can get ideas and free patterns. The Quilters' Cache is one of my favorites ... beautiful illustrations and detailed instructions.

I love that quilt, what is that block, a snow ball, what size did you make it and how, please.... I need help. I did some snow ball blocks but when I cut them down they would not fit. So what is that pattern please. I need help. I would like to make some more quilt tops. I have been saving some novelity fabric to make them. Love yourss.
