I would definitely recommend Quilt University's online courses on using EQ6. They are run by Fran Gonzalez who also wrote EQ6 Simplified (I would recommend that book as well!). I just finished the beginners course and there was loads of information - plus you get a message board where you can send questions directly to Fran; she always replies very quickly. The website is www.quiltuniversity.com. I have learnt a lot from using her book and the online class and I start the intermediate class on Friday.

how many times have you seen a block you like in a magazine or book but the block is, for instance, 8" and you want 10 or 12, or conversely, it's 12 and you want 8....
just set the block size, pick the block, click print and wa-la!
another favorite thing is playing with colors, fabrics, sashings, etc
