A quilt need not be made from expesive materials or be a fancy, intricate pattern to be beautiful or special. The simple squares made from her husbands clothing make that quilt a priceless treasure. And the pillow, how clever and sweet.
Based on what you said about wanting it done on a certain day, I would say it was meant to be.
