I'm interested in hearing from the Long-Arm quilters about your expereience with this thread. I have used So Fine thread for years and love it, but the Essential Pro thread is less expensive. Thanks in advance for your input!!

I have not used essential pro, but always use there regular thread and love it. I've used the regular on my LA and have not had any problems.

Thanks, Lauren. Are you referring to the 1200 yd spools for $2.49?

Yes, It's 100% cotton, and the new thread is 100% poly. I'm also interested in trying this thread and the next time I put in an order, I'm going to add this to it.

I got a spool of it and I used it to machine quilt using my Brother 1500. I had no problem at all. No lint or tension problems. It sewed like all the other quality cone machine quilting thread I have.

I ordered a few cones for my Longarm because the price was just too good to pass up. It is a fuzzier thread and does leave a lot of lint in the bobbin area, there are also a lot of joins in it and that worries me a bit. I know I pay a lot more for Superior, but I think I'll stick with the Sew Fine and Bottom Line. These have been my favorite for a few years now and are very dependable, there is no lint build up in the bobbin area with these.

I do want to add though that the thread ran wonderfully on my longarm, no problems with it the joins going through the needle eye.

I bought a spool and I like it for bobbin thread. My personal opinion is that it is not strong enough to use on the top (through the needle.) It does cause more lint than Superior Thread.
