Is it possible for you to get the names of some guilds and ask the president questions about requirements for starting a guild?

These links have some useful information. Some guilds are informal, some are more organized. If you want non-profit status you need to do some paperwork. One of the guilds I belong to went on for years before asking for non-profit status.
