my neighbor bought one of those lights for $49.95 and loves it. I wanted to get one but can't justify the price. I ran across this one for $22 (pkg of 2)....

Has anyone bought one? Also, this site is a good one for parts, etc.

I love mine!, but I have the kind you plug in, not the battery one pictured.

You can buy extra bases for mine, so I got one for all my machines & just move the light. The cord doesn't seem to get in the way.

I too have the one like yours, but the plug in .... and oh so wish it were battery!

Curious? could you please give us the link to the more costly one your friend purchased. I'm always looking for better lighting at my machine. Thanks!!

I have two that I use. A plug in light that is really a desk like with flexible shank which I bought at Big Lots and a floor lamp which stands close to my sewing machine. My eyesight needs brighter light than it used to need. I also have over head ceiling lights.

I have a torch lamp with a reading lamp arm on it that I use for extra light. It works fabulous for me and only cost about $20. It doesn't get in my way at all either :)

she bought hers at the LQS. But, it's very popular online. I'll see if I can find the link. maybe clotilde.com has it or quiltinaday.com

I do have a light (regular desk lamp) on my table but can't seem to get the right angle to brighten up my sewing area. It's mainly because of my eyes. Can't sew at night because they get too tired and everything's blurry even with glasses.

I need to win some lotto or something so I can buy my Babylock Ellisimo with the stadium lighting. That's an awesome machine and the lighting goes all around the sewing area (like a stadium).

checked both quiltinaday and clotilde sites and they don't have it. maybe it was clover....she's camping so I'll ask her if she remembers when she gets back. I don't think hers plugs in and it did come with 2 holders. She has one on her machine and one on her serger.

I have one similar I got at Walmart. I am using velcro on it and the machines so I can move it around. I can get it to light up the place I am sewing on. It is battery operated and was $10

I bought two of these clip-on lights and attached them to the handles of my longarm. I now wish I had bought another one for my sewing machine. I prefer plug-in to battery.
