OK--after seeing so many beautiful Spicy Spiral Table runners on these boards I've decided I'd like to make one.

Here's my question: Would a 10 degree wedge ruler work for the pattern instead of the 9 degree wedge the pattern calls for? I have a 10 degree ruler I purchased to make a Bargello in the Round . It was rather spendy in itself. I simply can't see spending another $25 + for another ruler I'll use only sparingly.
Does anyone have an opinion on this? I've not bought the pattern yet so it's hard for me to make an educated guess by looking at the instructions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

How long is the ten degree ruler? I have the nine degree and it is 22 1/2" long and the wide wedge is 4 1/2" and the small top part is one inch wide.
I don't know what the ten degree is actually like. I would think if it is close to the same measurements as the nine degree, it would work.

Yes, it will work. It will make the tablerunner a little bigger but it will give you the same spiral shape.

The 10 degree ruler will work fine, just make the spiral a
bit bigger...

If you follow the instructions exactly, it does not use the whole length of a 10" wedge ruler, so it is the size that it would be with a 9" ruler. The 10" wedge ruler is also cheaper than the 9" wedge ruler.

I bought mine here. http://phillipsfiberart.danemcoweb.c...p/product/STP/

It actually calls for the 9 degree wedge ruler in the instructions.
