Can you tell me the name of the block in the table runner link?

According to the picture it is some sort of pinwheel but I can't give much more info than that.

It is called Harvest Star and was an original design by Ellen Pahl for
Quiltmaker. Hint: It is also a slight variation from the Double Aster.
Very interesting block with partial seam. :D

So I went to look at what you were talking about and ended up ordering the magazine. I was over there looking around for a long time.. Thanks, I hope I enjoy the magazine.

Are you thinking about making this tablerunner ? It is pretty nice.

I am. I think it's very pretty. Trying to decide whether to order the magazine just for that pattern.

Here is a free pattern for a Double Aster and as I see it, there is such a slight difference you could easily modify it to the same Star Havest design. It's worth a try instead of spending money in my humble (and money poor) opinion :)

Thanks for thinking of me, but what is the source for the free pattern. I didn't see a link or web address.

It looks to me like a Double Aster.

This is a link for a free one:
