today the greatest thing happened...our local thrift store NEVER gets any fabric other than felt, upholstery and double knit...so today imagine my great surprise when I happened to stop in to look for something else and lo & behold...there was a ROLL of fabric that looked familiar.
It is a cranston print I recognized from walmart. Sort of an off white with tiny blue shooting stars...you all know it..they had for years...also in red and blue with white shooting stars!

anyway..I had just left KS guild where we talked about our next sewing day for the local vets...I knew I had red fabric and I have blue fabric, but no white to spare...

this ROLL of fabric was labeled as 18 1/2 yards for $18.45!
I was so happy, I squealed..aloud right in the store, and even louder when I got home and found it to actually be 20 1/2 yards!

Feeling very blessed right now!

That is fantastic! I didn't find anything that wonderful when I went to my thrift store, but I had just decided to make a baby quilt for my best friends DGD. While I was rummaging through all of the ick stuff, I ran across some pastel prints in lavender, blue and green, and a twin sized sheet of soft pansies. Probably with what is in my stash and what I just found I ready to get started. Oh, I guess I need a pattern but saw one at a LQS I could duplicate without buying a pattern.
