Does it have to be a heavier cotton for Bow Tuck bags or is the weight you use in a quilt ok??
Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Does it have to be a heavier cotton for Bow Tuck bags or is the weight you use in a quilt ok??
quilt weight is fine, deapery weight is even better, in my opinion
Regular quilting cotton is just fine. By the time you add your pellon for stiffing and the lining it will hold well.
Do I need to use interfacing?? What is pellon please?
The pattern calls for fusible fleece. Pellon is the manufacturer's name.
Thanks--the pattern says 2 yards do I need that much?? I must sound like a newbie to sewing but as you see I am in England
I used less than a yard for my bow-tucks. I bought 2 yards and have enough left for at least one more bow tuck.Originally Posted by campion
I'm in England and bought my pellon from a quilting shop nearby. You can get it on ebay too. I've just finished my first bow tuck and am really pleased with it (I used cotton fabric). Good luck with yours.
Thank you all ---now off to look on E bay or some P&Q sites ---may have to get it online.
PS --Annie have you posted a photo!!
