Does it have to be a heavier cotton for Bow Tuck bags or is the weight you use in a quilt ok??

Regular quilting cotton is just fine. By the time you add your pellon for stiffing and the lining it will hold well.

The pattern calls for fusible fleece. Pellon is the manufacturer's name.

I used less than a yard for my bow-tucks. I bought 2 yards and have enough left for at least one more bow tuck.

I'm in England and bought my pellon from a quilting shop nearby. You can get it on ebay too. I've just finished my first bow tuck and am really pleased with it (I used cotton fabric). Good luck with yours.
