Hmmm, if you want to eliminate any, 6 and 7 read just about the same on my screen so you could pick just one of those. What will you do with the rejects?

These would be my choices as well. I think you could use 6 and/or 7, but they are very similar so, personally, I'd pick one or the other.

I'd pull out 2 and 3 and distribute the rest in a pleasing pattern. 3 is too gray and 2 is too dark. The dark one stops the flow.

I like 1 & 2, or 4, 6, 7. I don't care for 3 & 5, they are too light. Your quilt is going to be very pretty no matter what colors you go with.

3, 5, 6, & 7 don't show the pattern as well as 1, 2 & 4. I'd stick with those fabrics. Love the pattern.

Well, I let this hang on my design wall for a week and I have decided to scrap this project. I just couldn't make myself love it. I'm currently working on a different quilt and am much happier! I'll keep these blocks and probably make a table runner out if them. Thanks everyone for your input!!

Your background fabric seems to dilute the colors of the design.....try bolder colors to offset the washed out look....

Im not loving my fabrics or the block. It was a learning experience and I am not going forward with this project. I've gone a different route with different fabrics and a completely different pattern. Everytime I look at the blocks, I think they look like bats!

RIP Batik Disappearing Hourglass!
