Cute Fabric Flowers to make so others will know you are from the Quilting Board site
Pin them on you, could also pin one on your bag and why not wear one in your hair

the flowers are adorable. thanks for the link. :-)
if we're going to have a common symbol it needs to work for both women and men.
since we already have the block as a common symbol, we need to find ways to use it in pins or nametags. ;-)

where do we find the pattern for this block? It could be done as a miniature, with a pin on the back. It could be put on the front of the shopping bag in bold colors. Both of those suggestions are gender neutral. :-D

the block can be made out of material with fabric on the back and just use a safety pin to wear

we each need to make our own.
the block is made from:
4 Half-Square Triangles
1 Solid Square
4 3-stripe Rail Fence patches
as long as all 9 patches are the same size, you'll be good to go.
you can also find a pattern here:
http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof...dshipquilt.htm
you'll need to reduce it to your desired finished size.
