    Fabric Folding Pen

Been looking at this gadget and was wondering if anybody out there has tried it? Mainly for applique edge turn. Sounds good, but I already have so many gadgets that are just sitting in my drawers without use.
I do a lot of applique and this sounded interesting. Thank you ladies.

Never heard of it before. Yes, they seem to make more gadgets than one quilter can own. I can't really see it working for small pieces of appliques.

I remember a discussion about this pen on another board. Many liked it, some didn't. I think the only way you will know if it works for you is to try it.

I was watching Queen of Stitching videos and she uses one. I bought one just to see if it made folding more accurate. I usually mark a line and try to fold on it.

She puts a jig on a ruler and runs the pen down the ruler's edge. You can do the same with a wooden press, but that might distort looser woven fabric.

Hmmm. Never saw that before....I know vinegar water will remove that permanent press of a hem or fold down middle of fabric...wonder if that's the " liquid" she is talking about. Can that little bottle be refilled?

Just looked it up on JAF....not cheap and yes there are refills of the "liquid" available too.....this looks like it certainly would help with needleturn appliqué....or even machine turned....for me anyway.....

I was wondering if it would work for English paper piecing verses basting...I'd love to hear what others have to say.

This page has reviews and comments by users of this product. It seems that most of them are in the 4-5 stars range.

I used it and it seemed to do as advertised - I am fairly new to applique so needed all the help I could get.
