looking for pattern

i am looking for the name of this pattern or where i could find it..the points do not appear to be attached (maybe a prairie point?) any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks

It kind of reminds me of how Kaye Wood puts together her hexagon blocks.

I don't think the center has prarie points, it looks like a fussy cut star with the triangles set in...

You could make the block, and fuse the fussy cut star in the center :wink:

What a pretty and unique looking block :D:D:D

The center star looks reverse appliqued to me. That would explain why the inside points seem to be 3D. They've been tucked under and appliqued down.

the person that had it said they were not attached down just folded and then sewed in (that's why i thought prairie points) she didn't know where it came from..

OH!!! So the center was cut as an octagon, and the tan triangles are prairie points!!! :oops: looking now? I can see that plain as day :oops:
