Learning a new techniques (actually several) this week on my new serger. We are making a childs dress, one will be for charity, the other one is for my 3yr old. Now while I have tons of fabric that I could use I found this pretty purple (her favorite color) and couldn't resist. So, grandkids and kids will always be on the top of my breaking my budget rules.
Of course if I need to make something for grand mouslings, all bets are off! Nana's buying!

Just walking into the store does it for me. Or driving by to take a look see. I also have been throwing my mailing coupons from JAF and Hancock away. Doesn't matter they have same in the store. Have been pretty well behaved for the past 6 weeks though. June 20, I broke the 5th metatarsal so DH went to the store. What I saved spending on material he bought extra groceries. Was confined to wheelchair but not anymore. Going to stay home for couple more weeks. So he can spend more on groceries.

Broke mine when BFF told me about Fairy Frost for $3.60 and $4.40 per yard. It starts at $25.00 per metre down here. We bought 28 yards between us and shared the postage. We are in Australia.
The exchange rate has kept me on the straight and narrow but so has realising just how much fabric I really do have. DH has always said I have enough to start my own Quilt Shop - I'm afraid he may be right.

It's sales. I can resist buying when the fabric is $10+ per yard but let it dip down to $5- I'm in real trouble. I have been really good this summer but the fall sales will start soon and I might be pulling out my wallet.
