Default Fabric -New Year's Resolution....a FAILURE!

Okay, I signed up with you all NOT to buy any fabric HOWEVER, the local quilt shop (beautiful, wonderful, gorgeous fabric) announced that it was closing FOREVER and all the fabric was 50% off....I gave in...sigh...bought 18 yards of fabric...I promise I won't buy any more. Had to admit to being a "Fabric Buying Failure!" I will be good from now on.

I hear you. I'm having lunch today with cousins at a restaurant RIGHT BY Joann's. I've sworn off fabric purchases and from Joann's in particular (I've spent way too much there over the years) but I'm going to be right there. It seems irresponsible and a poor use of resources (gas used driving there) not to go in and take look around...

Fabric calls to us, what can we say?

Not a failure when you can get 18 yards of fabric for the price of 9. When there are deals like that, I just tell DH "Going shopping to save money!" yeah he looks at me like doesn't make sense. Sometimes you just must!

I wouldn't have been able to resist, either.

I would have been right with you for a 50 percent off sale at the LQS. Sounds like you forgave yourself .. so now all that's left is to get sewing.

Well, it was only polite that you went in there to help them out and say goodbye!

I have just issued a decree -- You are NEVER to feel guilty about taking advantage of a 50 percent sale. That is a great buy.

Well now you can vow never to buy fabric AT THAT STORE and mean it. (Unless, of course, they're still running the sale, and then all bets are off.) It's so sad to see a good quilt store closing.

That would be too hard to pass up and enjoy sewing with it.
