Default Fabric Photo Quilt

Has anyone took a personal photo and had it printed on fabric ???? How did the print quality turn out ????

I'm in the process of having it printed and I designed the colored borders around the quilt to make the photo pop. The price to print on 6oz cotton fabric was $25.00 a yard. The photo itself will measure 41 x 27 inches and with the borders I'm going to try to get this pretty big. I'm really excited and can't wait till the fabic gets here to start to sew this puppy together.

Here is my rough design I created for this......

It is going to be a great quilt! Well worth every penny it cost.

Your photo and layout are super! I haven't had a photo printed onto fabric so I can't say how it will last. I know the Spoonflower company will print fabric for you and they might have some care instructions on their site?

That's going to be a great quilt!

Showed it to DH. Now we are thinking of sending off a picture of our motorcycle/sidecar. Told him I could use it as a center piece for a quilt for him.

I made 3 quilts centered around my grandsons' picutres. They turned out great. My daughter in Minot went to a printing place with a tan fabric and they put it on it. My daughter in Long Island did it herself on their printer. Looked good too. His was a truck & fire engine quilt. The other 2 were a dog one and a horse one.

I just finished a quilt with pic. on it. I printed them on my home computer so they came out good. If you had them done somewhere I'm sure they will be good also.Love the layout of your quilt.

I love picture quilts! Thats pretty much what I have been making..memory and wedding, its alot of fun and I print on my home printer using the fabric sheets made for printing. When I did the submarine and Hospital ship on my avatar it was a challenge, wish I would have known about taking it and having it done for me!! Your picture turned out awesome and I love what you did with the borders!
