Fabric pulling in machine?

Do any of you have a problem where your fabric wants to pull to the left - like a driving a car when the alignment is out?
My Janome is doing that, and it's most noticible when I'm sewing long strips. I notice that fabric wants to feed in on a "slant", not straight. As a result, when I pull the finished strip out it's slightly "bowed" (albeit straight). I can get rid of the bow by grabbing the seam on both sides at the center of the piece and "scraping" outward with my fingernails (gently) to take the bow out.
It's a pain in the butt and I have to be really careful when I get to the end of the strip, or worse piece, to make sure that I still have a 1/4 at the end.
What could be causing this? I don't have the same problem when I piece with my Husky, so I don't think the problem is how I'm feeding the fabric.
So far the only foot I've used on the Janome is the accufeed walking foot with the 1/4 guide. I guess I should try a regular foot to see if it still happens.

Agree with cleaning your machine regularly and thoroughly! I clean after every project and if I am using something like flannel, I will often clean in the middle of the project. It is amazing how much lint accumulates in there - almost as bad as dust bunnies!
If you don't have any luck with cleaning, probably something needs to be adjusted by your service tech. I have owned many Janomes and never had this problem.
